This year in 8th grade social studies, we will watch different videos throughout the year to enhance the topics being covered, and hopefully help bring history alive for the students as they see stories unfold before their eyes. The following list includes a brief overview of the videos that will be shown. If I decide to show any others this year, I will add them to this list. Some of these videos we will watch all of, and others we will watch just certain clips.
If you have questions or concerns with any of these, please let me know!

John Adams
We watch the "Independence" episode of this Emmy Award-winning HBO miniseries in class, which brings to life the majority of the topics we study leading to the our nation's independence being declared. It shows vividly the hesitancy of many Founding Fathers in events leading to that momentous declaration, and the importance of Adams, Washington, Jefferson, and Franklin in convincing colonists to fight for what was right.
